Bob started out as a truck driver for Independent Roofing in 1975. His future mother in law was the bookkeeper at the company at that time and his future grandmother in law had been the bookkeeper for many years before that. The truck driving job was going to be a step in some other direction, but ended up being the start of a long career at Independent Roofing Co. Bob has been very involved in the roofing industry over that career spending a lot of time with the Midwest Roofing Contractors Association. After serving on the board of directors for several years, he ended up on the executive committee and was President of the association in 2004. After leaving the board, he became President of the MRCA Foundation until 2010. He was also involved with the Omaha Roofing Contractors Association serving as President for many years. He enjoys all types of sports and likes to travel with friends when the opportunity presents itself.
